Celia

Celia is a Finnish state-owned special library which produces and provides literature in accessible formats. The books are meant for people who are unable to read standard printed books due to illness or disability.

You can register as a Celia user at your own library. Celia’s book collection boasts more than 40 000 talking books, which may be borrowed and listened to free of charge over the internet. In addition to books in Finnish and Swedish, books in other languages are also available, including works in English, Estonian, French, German and Russian.

Infopankki is a multilingual website providing vital information to people planning to move to Finland and to immigrants already living in the country. The site also provides a multilingual communication channel to many authorities.

Infopankki service provides visitors with reliable information in their own language on topics ranging from moving to Finland, working, studying and living here to education, health, family, problem situations and leisure time.



Multilingual library

Multilingual Library offers people living anywhere in Finland a chance to read literature in their native language. Multilingual collection is situated in the Helsinki City Library – Central Public Library, but you can ask for these items through your own local library.

Multilingual collection contains library materials (books, music, movies, magazines) for adults, young people and children in more than 80 languages.

You can browse the multilingual collection through Helmet-catalogue search. By using the language menu, the search offers you library materials only in the language you chose.
